Norton 2010 at a discount
As you might have heard or read by now, Norton Anti-Virus 2010 and Norton Internet Security 2010 will be shipping in about a week. Of course in the PC world you always want to have the most updated Anti-Virus protection available. There are many options, and Norton is one of the more popular options. If you are a Norton User and your subscription is running out, this post might help save you some money. Even if your subscription isn’t about to run out, you still might want to check this out.
What you might not know is that you can buy the 2009 version and upgrade to the 2010 version free.
Amazon.com still has the 2009 version on sale for less than $30.
Compare that to the 2010 version they have listed.
Save your money and buy the 2009 version. When it arrives get it installed. During the install process you should be able to register the product via MyNortonAccount. Once you do that, go to https://www.mynortonaccount.com/amsweb/default.do and log in. After you are logged in you will see the products you have activated with that account and on the right-hand side there is an update option. Once you are logged in, click the link on the right-hand side that says Norton Update Center. Then you will be taken to anew page where you simply click update me now. The Norton updater will download and install the 2010 version. A reboot will be required.
